The Odd Life of Timothy Green is a brilliant movie. I went in to the theater not knowing anything about the film except for seeing one trailer. It is one of the best movies of the summer. It feels like an independent movie even though it was produced by Disney. It reminds me of Son of Rambow.

The film follows the life of Timothy Green who “comes from the garden” of a married couple who can not have children after they bury a list of what their kid would be. The couple raise the boy as their own.

Timothy is a mystery and I couldn’t figure him out for most of the movie. Once I did I still cared about the story and the characters. The movie is funny, heartwarming, and inspiring. It is a film that anyone at any age will love.
