Skyfall is the 23rd James Bond film in its 50 year history and the third with Daniel Craig in the role of 007. The movie revolves around the British government’s hearings of MI6’s leader M and her ability to lead the department. It starts when a hard drive is stolen in Turkey that contains the identities of the undercover NATO agents. A few months later MI6 is bombed and in comes James Bond to investigate who is targeting MI6.

The film gets a little slow and boring after the prologue, but it picks up about half way through and never stops. The later part of the movie makes up for the slow beginning. The first half is like a normal Sam Mendes movie, it is plot and character development. The rest is when it turns into a Bond movie. The parts with the fights, chases, explosions, and guns.

If you are a fan of the Bond franchise, or just a fan of action movies or films with a good story then you will enjoy this movie. They even blow up a few miniature models instead of the go to CGI! That is something you don’t see much in Hollywood these days.

Wreck-It Ralph is the latest animated film from Walt Disney Animation Studios. It follows Ralph, who is the villain in the game Fix-it Felix Jr. After 30 years of being the villain and not winning any metals and having any friends he decides he wants a change. Ralph then learns that he can win a metal if he can win in Hero’s Duty. He leaves his game to not be a bad guy anymore. He quickly learns that it isn’t that easy to just become a hero.

Watching the trailer, it doesn’t tell you much except that Ralph doesn’t want to be a bad guy anymore, but I still wanted to see it. If you liked what you saw in the trailer, you will enjoy the movie. The voices they picked were the perfect choices for all the characters. They makers of the film did an awesome job at putting in real video game characters from all time periods as well as making new games that represent all the eras.

The movie is very funny. I laughed all the way through. They also keep the viewer surprised, because I thought I knew where it was going next and I was wrong each time.

Before the movie, there was a short called Paperman, which was done very well and had an old time cartoon feel.
